Ceri Roberts is a freelance writer and mum of one. She started her career writing for popular teen magazines Sugar and J17. She has since written for a wide range of titles, from The Times, to Grazia, and Practical Parenting, and has written/contributed to several parenting books. Obsessed with colours, textures, and lighting, what Hanane loves doing the most is to create worlds where tactile melts with digital. Her favorite colour is turquoise. She loves tea, cooking, and gardening and she dreams of a turquoise plant.

Based in Lebanon, Hanane first ventured off as a Graphic Designer (with a BA degree from NDU), then pursued her passion for illustration, photography and miniature set design. She expresses herself through the visuals she create, and hopes with every illustration to touch her audience, leaving them with a certain feeling or message.

The Children in Our World picture book series helps children make sense of the larger issues and crises that dominate the news in a sensitive and appropriate manner. With relatable comparisons, carefully researched text and striking illustrations, children can begin to understand who refugees and migrants are, why they've left their homes, where they live and what readers can do to help those in need.
