Robert Dean Frisbie left for Tahiti in 1920 at the age of 24 due to poor health. He lived there for four years and set up a news syndicate to send his stories back to the States. He later moved to the Cook Islands and raised a family. A good copy with some soiling and wear to the cloth and some browning to the spine edges. There is some staining to the inside covers near the gutter but the text itself is very good with some minor soiling. Scarce.

This copy has no major flaws, the hinges are sound, the contents are clean and with some tanning as usual. The author went to Tahiti in 1920 and this book tells of his first five years on the island. A very desirable and collectible book.
