Broschiert. Etat : New. 2006, 1a.ed., Letras Universales, 387 (ISBN-10:84-376-2342-1). 248p., Sprache: Spanisch, NUEVO / NEU / NEW. rústica, bolsillo. Nuevo. Friedrich Schiller's drama The Maid of Orleans, published and premiered in 1801, was a great success during his lifetime. The story of the Lorraine peasant girl Joan of Arc, who - invoking divine inspiration - led the French troops from victory to victory, then fell into the hands of the English and was burned as a witch in 1431, moves Schiller beyond the boundaries of mere historical drama - in Schiller's work, Joan is not burned at the stake, but experiences apotheosis on the battlefield. Formally, this "romantic tragedy" occupies a special position in Schiller's work: the dramatic development is interrupted by lyrical passages, the verse forms are unusually diverse, ranging from blank verse to the solemn form of the stanza to the iambic trimeter, the dramatic verse of ancient tragedy.

Rústica. Etat : Muy bueno.
